Black Mountain of Maine will follow the guidelines set forth by the Maine CDC and government agencies
as well as the NSAA’s Ski Well, Be Well guidelines. We are in this together. Please refer to Maine's Keep Maine Healthy plan for up to date travel information into the state.

If you are feeling sick or are experiencing any of the following symptoms please stay home: fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, nasuea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat or runny nose. Remember we are in this together & share the responsibility of staying safe.
You should fully expect your experience with respect to the lodge to feel a little foreign at first. Also be aware that this policy could change at any time. Please check this page frequently for any updates. We thank you in advance for your patience.

In additon:  

Face Coverings will be required in all outdoor & indoor public spaces, including while riding lifts. 


  • Our indoor ticketing area will be closed to the public & replaced by an outdoor access ticket window.


  • The lodge will operate under the capacity guidelines mandated by the Maine CDC. We are currently only allowed 50 people in the cafeteria section and only 25 people in the Last Run Pub. 
  • You must wear a mask to enter the building. No mask. No entry. 
  • The lodge will have separate entrances & exits.  
  • Guests will be required to boot up in the parking lot.
  • Indoor bag storage will not be available. No personal items allowed inside the lodge.
  • No bagged lunches allowed. 
  • Masks will be required in all indoor public spaces, except when seated to eat. 
  • Guests are encouraged to minimize the amount of time spent in the lodge, with a one hour limit. 


  • Wear a mask. We will not service people at the rental window who aren't wearing one. 
  • There will be no entry into the rental shop.
  • Rental forms may be picked up at our service window & MUST be SIGNED & filled out COMPLETELY.
  • Return your rental form to the service window & the next available rental tech will get your equipment ready.
  • Your equipment will be handed to you at the service door. 
  • Rental pick ups & returns will be handled through the exterior rental shop door.
  • We will not be able to assist you trying on or putting on your rental boots/equipment.
  • Booting up/suiting up will not be allowed indoors.
  • Please come prepared for your day! Due to Covid regulations we will have limited retail available & anything purchased will be delivered through the service window. 


  • Public water fountains will be no longer available. 
  • Sanitization stations will be available throughout the lodge. 
  • Guests will remain seated while eating, drinking. 
  • Seating will be limited following state guidelines with tables spaced to six feet apart.
  • Plexiglass shields have been installed at all registers and check out areas. 
  • One way traffic flow in retail, rental, bar & cafe checkout areas.
  • No bar stools at the bar, seating at tables only. 

On Mountain 

  • Singles line removed from the lift queue.
  • Lift lines will be adjusted to allow distance between lanes.

Snowsports School

  • Meeting times and locations will be adjusted.

Hours of Operation

  • To allow us to deep clean the lodge each & every day that we are open, our hours are 9:00am-4:00pm until further notice.  


  • No large events are planned at this time. 
  • Any competitions will follow the guidelines of each event’s governing body.
