We are super excited to welcome Jeff Farnum on board as Chisholm Alpine Race Team's 2021-22 Head Coach.
Say "Hi" to Jeff
Chisholm Alpine Race Team Coach

Jeff was born and raised in the area and graduated from Rumford Sr. High School in 1989.  As a little kid he remembers his 1st day of skiing at Mt. Abram. Donning rental gear, LEE Jeans, and buckskin mitts he took his first lesson.  "I was HOOKED for life!", says Jeff.  When he was old enough, he became a ski instructor at Mt Abram's for a few years, then moved on to Sunday River.  Once there, Jeff transitioned to the ski shop world, tuning skis, mounting bindings, fitting boots, and skiing for free on the newest gear.

In the early 90’s those skills took Jeff out west to Colorado, Montana and eventually Alaska.  Jeff worked on high level race gear for high level athletes while still finding the happy medium between being an athlete, coach, parent, and tuning ski gear.

Jeff and his Alaska girls (wife and daughter) moved back to Maine in 2014 and recently completed his USSA L100 Alpine ski coach certification.  This is Jeff's 3rd year coaching at BMOM and he's hooked once again.

We are super excited to welcome Jake Leavitt as Chisholm Alpine Race Team's 2021-22 Adjunct Coach. Say "hi" to Jake.

Jake began his racing career as a part of Lost Valley Race Club. From there, he trained with the Gould/Sunday River Competition Program for 6 years. In addition to his USSA racing experience, ranging from J IV through level JI, he was an active member of the Leavitt Area High School Ski Team. He is excited to deliver his lifelong passion for ski racing to our young Black Mountain racers. "Be ready to ski fast and dominate"
