Far drives, long lift lines, high prices & all the craziness at other places got you down? Or maybe you'd just like to experience all that Black Mountain has to offer in a more exclusive fashion with a select few friends or family members.

We're excited to say you can do just that.

We're now offering full mountain rentals for groups or private parties Monday through Thursday on non-holiday weeks. (Days we are typically closed). Yes, you read that right. You can rent the whole mountain.

Renting the mountain from 9:00am-3:00pm will give you access to 6 hours of both alpine & nordic skiing, 2 chair lifts, the Café & The Last Run Pub will be open for purchases as well as the rental shop.

Bring as few or as many people as you like. A 50% deposit is required and all private rentals must be scheduled in advance. Compliance with CDC Covid guidelines must be followed & social distancing maintained.

Black Mountain of Maine will follow the guidelines set forth by the Maine CDC and government agencies
as well as the NSAA’s Ski Well, Be Well guidelines. We are in this together. Please refer to Maine's Keep Maine Healthy plan for up to date travel information into the state.

  • The lodge will operate under the capacity guidelines mandated by the Maine CDC.
  • Masks are recommended.
  • The lodge will have separate entrances & exits. Access to ENTER the lodge will be from the deck area. The front doors will once again serve as the EXIT from the building. 
  • At this time we are welcoming booting up inside the lodge. Please keep in mind this could change if Covid guidelines shift.


  • Lift tickets can be purchased online & picked up at the exterior ticket window.


  • There will be no entry into the rental shop. 
  • Rental forms may be picked up at our service window & MUST be SIGNED & filled out COMPLETELY.
  • Return your rental form to the service window & the next available rental tech will get your equipment ready.
  • Your equipment will be handed to you at the service door. You may then proceed up the stairs to the deck, then inside the lodge to get ready for the day.
  • Rental pick ups & returns will be handled through the exterior rental shop door.
  • We will not be able to assist you trying on or putting on your rental boots/equipment.


  • Sanitization stations will be available throughout the lodge.

  • Bar stools will be back into place. 
  • Masks are recommended.
  • We are bringing back our free live music series! There will be 4 Saturday night bands from 7:00pm-11:00pm as well as aprés ski on Saturdays & Sundays from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Check out the schedule!
